What the search looks like for MSc Finance students
- Bank and Big Four graduate programmes and internships open early, often in the autumn, and many review applications as they arrive.
- Online tests come first: numerical reasoning, situational judgement and sometimes game-based tests.
- Many first rounds are one-way video interviews on platforms such as HireVue or Sonru. A question appears, there is a short time to think, then the camera records.
- Later rounds bring technical questions and an assessment centre or superday: several interviews in one day.
- The CV is one page, with deals, transactions, models and numbers stated plainly.

What we don’t do
Where your team still comes in
We do not teach technical finance: accounting, valuation and modelling are for the course and the careers team. The practice covers the format of each round, not the course content.
We have no human interviewers. For a real mock superday, students use peer mock interviews or your team.
