Terms

The agreement between you and Involve: what you may do with it, what it promises, what it deliberately does not promise, and how the money works. Last updated 5 September 2026.

The short version. Browsing the job index and editing your own CV are free. Paying starts when the product makes something for you. A subscription renews monthly until you stop it, you can stop it at any time from your account page, and stopping takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing here promises you a job, an interview, or that any particular employer's software will read your document a particular way — and anything we say about a document is a measurement of that document, never a prediction about a hiring decision.

Who you are agreeing with

Involve is operated by Aditya Shashidhar, trading as Involve. Contact for anything on this page, including billing: [email protected].

By creating an account, or by using the site or the Chrome extension, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. How your data is handled is a separate document and forms part of this agreement: see the privacy policy.

Who may use it

You must be 16 or over. You need an account for anything that produces or stores something for you; browsing the job index does not. One account is one person. Sharing an account, or reselling access to one, is not permitted — an institutional licence is the supported way to give a group of people access, and it is a different arrangement.

What the service is

Involve reads a CV you supply, measures it, tells you what is missing, rewrites wording you ask it to rewrite, and produces a document in a format and a length appropriate to the market you name. It scores a posting against your CV on two separate numbers — how well the job fits you, and whether the document as written would clear that posting's filter — and never averages them. It records what you have applied for. Through the extension, it fills application forms on boards that allow it.

What it does not do, stated plainly

These are limits of the product, not disclaimers bolted on afterwards. Each of them is something the software actively refuses to do:

Your side of it

What you own, and what we own

Your CV is yours. The documents Involve produces from it are yours: you may use them, send them, edit them and publish them however you like, with no restriction and no attribution, and that remains true after you stop paying and after you delete your account.

The site, the extension, the scoring engines, the vocabulary and the wording of these pages are ours. Using the service does not transfer any of that to you.

By using the service you allow us to process your content for the sole purpose of providing it to you — reading, scoring, rewriting and storing it as the privacy policy describes. We claim no other right over it, and we do not use it to train models.

Plans, credits and what is charged

Cancelling, and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your account page. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; you keep everything you have paid for until then and you are not charged again. Cancelling does not delete your account or your documents — that is a separate action, and it is also yours to take.

The button on that page is currently a one-click cancellation email rather than a self-serve portal — the email is pre-addressed and pre-written, we act on it the same working day, and it takes effect at the same point in the period as any other cancellation. Nothing asks you why and nothing tries to talk you out of it. A self-serve portal is being connected; when it is, the button will open it instead and this paragraph will come off this page.

If you are in the UK or the EU you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a new subscription. By starting to use a paid feature within those 14 days you ask us to begin the service immediately, which means that if you then cancel we may keep a proportionate amount for what you used; the rest is refunded. Outside that window, monthly subscriptions are not refunded for the remainder of a period, and a one-off credit that has been spent on a document is not refunded — the document has been produced.

If you were charged for something that did not work, write to us. A failure on our side is refunded, and we would rather do that than argue about it.

If something goes wrong

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, that the job index will always be complete or current — it is assembled from sources we do not control — or that it will be free of faults.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for lost opportunities, lost applications, lost earnings, or a job you did not get, and our total liability to you for anything arising out of this agreement is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

If you are a consumer, you keep every right the law of your country gives you, and nothing here takes any of it away.

Suspending or ending an account

We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms — bulk unsolicited messaging, scraping the index, reselling access, or working around the limits. Where it is not urgent we will say what the problem is first and give you a chance to fix it. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, the unused part of what you paid is refunded.

You may close your account at any time from the account page. Deleting it removes every row we hold about you and cannot be undone.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that affects what you get or what you pay, we will say so on this page, change the date at the top, and tell account holders by email before it takes effect. The date at the top is the date the current version took effect. Continuing to use the service after that date is acceptance of the new version; if you would rather not, cancel, and the change will not apply to a period you have already paid for.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you may also bring proceedings in your own country and you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law.
