How the AI works and what it never does, where the jobs come from, what we keep about you, and how refunds work. Written plainly, so you can check each part.
The short version.
Most of Involve is our own code, running in your browser tab. It reads your resume, scores it against a job, and builds the tailored version. The file you upload is never sent anywhere.
An AI model is used only when you press a button that says so: rewrite a line, draft a message, translate your resume, or let the extension prepare an application. Then we send only the text that button needs. For a rewrite, that is the line being rewritten, not your whole resume.

This sentence has no verb. "Ran", "owned" and "led" say different things about how senior you were, so you pick the one that is true.

"Built the demand forecast that cut out-of-stocks by 25%". Your line has no 25%, so this rewrite is removed and you are told why.
The extension's fill button fills in the form and stops. You press the employer's own submit button. The only thing that sends an application for you is a sending run in the application queue. It needs the Pro Max plan, and it does not start until you tick the consent line. Everything it sends goes on your tracker. More about this.
Most jobs come straight from employers' own career sites, through the public job boards those employers use: Workday, SmartRecruiters, Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby. A smaller number come from other public job sites.
If you use Involve without an account, your resume stays on your computer. With an account, we keep your resume as text, the resumes you approve or download, the answers you type, and your tracker. That way you can open them on another computer.
Your data is yours. The database stops other users from reading it. Other people see something only in two cases: what you choose to share on a practice board (other students see that), and, if your school gives you a seat, a short summary for the careers office: your name, email, plan, when you were last active, how many resumes and applications you made, and your best match score. They do not see your resume.

Where one of these works outside the UK or the EU, the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
What the model gets: only the text the button needs. It never gets your email, phone number, links or account. That text can still name you or your employers, for example your job titles, or your name at the end of a message it drafts for you to sign.
We never sell your data. There is no advertising and no tracking pixel on this site. We do not use your resume to train AI models. You can download or delete all your data yourself, from your account screen. The full detail is on the privacy page.
