Scoring compares one CV against one posting and returns two numbers and a term list. Here is how to get the first one.
Before you start
You need a parsed CV on the account and a paid plan. Scoring is the first step past the free tier: the board, the editor, the designs, the country formats and the downloads are free, and the number is not.
The cheapest route in is the one-off three euro credit, which covers one tailored document start to finish.
Step by step
- Open the job board and find a posting you would genuinely apply to.
- Open the listing. The route it would take is printed on it before you do anything.
- Press the control that tailors or scores for this role. It opens the tailoring screen with that posting attached.
- Read the two numbers at the top before reading anything else.
- Read the term list underneath, starting with the middle column.
The two numbers

They are separate because they need opposite responses. A low Fit means apply elsewhere. A low CV readiness with a decent Fit is the case the product exists for: you can do the job and the document is hiding it.

The term list
Every requirement the posting names lands in one of three states.
- have. It is in your CV with evidence behind it. Nothing to do.
- near. You have done the thing and your wording does not read as it. This column first, every time. It is the fastest movement available.
- miss. It is not in the document at all. Either you have not done it, which is a Fit signal to leave alone, or you did it and left it out, which is a fix to your base CV that helps every future application.
What happens next
Nothing, until you ask for it. Scoring does not change your document, does not download anything, and does not record an application.
When you do ask for a tailored version, every change is shown next to the line it replaces with a reason, and nothing reaches a file before you approve it. That is covered in how tailoring works.
If the number looks wrong, the usual cause is upstream: a role that parsed without its employer, or bullets attached to the wrong job. Reopen Check the parse and read it again.

Is the match score free?
No. The number, the ranking, the minimum-match filter and the breakdown all sit behind a paid plan. The listings themselves stay free to read.
What is the cheapest way to see one?
The one-off three euro credit. It is a single payment for a single tailored document, it does not recur, and an unspent credit does not expire.
Why is there no score on this listing?
Nothing is scored off a title alone. A posting with no readable description is held out of scoring rather than given a number that means nothing.
Does the employer see this number?
No. It is computed in your browser against their advert. Nothing about it is sent to them.
