Cancel your subscription
Where the cancel control is, what happens to your account afterwards, and the answers on refunds, plan changes and the one-off credit.
Cancelling is meant to be no harder than subscribing. A product whose pitch is honesty does not get to practise the opposite about money.
How to cancel
- Sign in and open the account screen.
- Scroll to the billing block. It names the plan you are on and the date it started.
- Press the cancel control.
- Follow it through. Depending on how billing is set up on the account, it either opens the payment provider's own portal or opens an email that cancels; both are one step and both are recorded.
No call, no form asking you to reconsider, no retention offer.
What happens next
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| When does it stop | At the end of the period you have already paid for |
| Am I charged again | No |
| What happens to my account | It stays, on the free tier |
| What happens to my applications and tracker | They stay exactly where they are |
| What happens to documents I made | They stay in your library until you delete them |
| Do I get a refund for the rest of the month | Not automatically, because the period is already paid |
If the product did not do what it said it would, there is a claim route on the account screen and a person reads it. That is a real route rather than a formality.
Changing plan instead
Moving up takes effect immediately and is prorated by the payment provider. Moving down takes effect at the next renewal. Do it in the same place as cancelling.
One thing to watch: starting a second subscription does not replace the first. If you subscribe again on a different tier without cancelling, cancel the one you have in the same sitting.
The one-off credit
The three euro credit is a single payment for a single tailored document. It does not recur, there is nothing to cancel, and an unspent credit does not expire.
Deleting your data as well
Cancelling and deleting are different actions. Cancelling stops the billing; the account and everything on it stays. To remove the data, use the delete control on the same screen, which is immediate and cannot be undone: your data, and how to delete it.
Export your tracker first if you want a copy of what you sent and when.
Questions about this
Does cancelling delete my account?
No. Your account, your applications and your tracker stay exactly where they are, on the free tier.
Is the three euro credit cancellable?
There is nothing to cancel. It is a single payment for a single document and it does not recur.
Will you email me before renewing?
No. A subscription renews until you cancel it, the same as any other. If you are done, cancel rather than relying on us to notice.
Can I change plan instead?
Yes. Moving up takes effect immediately and is prorated; moving down takes effect at the next renewal.
Cancel from the account screen
The control sits above the billing questions rather than under them, and nothing on the way out asks you why.
