Why LinkedIn is never automated
LinkedIn is blocked in three places for one reason: the account that gets restricted is yours. What the product does there instead.
LinkedIn is on the refused list and stays there. Nothing on any plan enables it.
The reason
The account at risk is not ours. A site that detects automated applying restricts the person doing it, and that person is you. Losing a LinkedIn account in the middle of a job search costs more than every application it would have saved.
There is also the plainer half: their terms forbid it. A product built on refusing to write claims it cannot support does not get to quietly break somebody else's terms on your behalf.
Where the block is enforced
Three places, which is deliberate.
- When the route is printed. A listing on that host is marked refused with a reason, before you press anything.
- Before a tab is opened. A queued run checks the host against the same list and does not open it.
- In the extension. It never runs on that site, so there is no badge, no score and no fill button there.
One list, checked three times. When it was three separate lists they disagreed, and the visible result was a product that promised something and then declined it.
What happens to a job you found there
The document is unaffected. Tailoring works on any posting you can read, so:
- Copy the description into the tailoring screen, or find the same role on the employer's own careers page.
- Tailor and approve as normal.
- Download the document, or use the copy-out screen for the answers.
- Open the posting on that site and apply yourself, as a person.
That is one manual step at the end of a process that already did the slow part.
The profile audit is a different thing
There is a screen where you paste your own profile and read back what it says: what a reader sees first, what is missing, what reads as filler. It changes nothing on that site and it never signs in there. You make the edits yourself.
The same reasoning elsewhere
Indeed is refused for its terms. Workday, SuccessFactors, iCIMS and Taleo are excluded because applying on them needs credentials the employer issues to you, which no third party can hold.

Can the extension read a LinkedIn job page for a score?
No. It never runs on that site, so nothing is read and no badge appears there.

There is a profile audit you run yourself by pasting your profile, which reads what it says and hands the changes back to you to make.
What about other sites that forbid it?
Indeed forbids automated applying and is refused too, for the same kind of reason: their terms rather than our capability.
