Honest answers to the questions people ask before paying: cost, whether it invents experience, where your resume goes, LinkedIn, and coverage.

These are the questions that come up before anyone hands over a card. The answers below are the actual ones, including the places where Involve does less than a competitor might claim to.

What does it cost, and what is free?

Browsing is free. The whole job board, every filter, and the provenance badge on each listing are open with no payment and no trial clock.

The €3 credit exists for people who need one good document and nothing else. It is not a trial that turns into a subscription.

Which plan do I actually need?

If you are early in a search and mostly want to know whether your CV is in shape, Scan & Build is the honest answer. If you are applying at volume and want autofill doing the tedious parts, that is the €32 tier. Pro Max is for people who want the Chrome extension and the cover letter builder as well. Plans are listed at /app/#/plans/.

Does it write lies on my CV?

No, and the refusal is built into the code rather than into a policy document.

Tailoring reorders and reweights the bullets you already wrote, retargets your summary, and rewrites weak openers so they lead with a verb. Then a fabrication guard checks the output. Any token in the tailored document with no source in your original resume gets rejected: an invented figure, an employer that is not yours, even a phrase whose supporting evidence sits on a different line of your CV. When that happens the guard throws. It does not ship a softened version.

On top of that, every tailored document arrives as a before/after diff with a reason per change, and requires an explicit approve. You see each edit and why it happened before anything leaves your screen. Your base resume is never overwritten; each tailor is a new document.

If the underlying worry is what these tools are capable of in general, whether AI can invent experience on your resume covers it directly.

Where does my resume go, and how do I sign in?

Almost nowhere. Parsing, scoring, tailoring, the fabrication guard and both file writers (PDF and Word) run in your own browser. Your resume is not shipped off to be processed on someone else's machine.

Photo handling is the clearest case. If your target market expects a photograph on the CV, the image is processed in the browser and never uploaded at all. Whether you need one in the first place depends on the country, and the photo rules by country go through that.

Why is there no password login?

Sign-in is OAuth only, through Google, Microsoft or LinkedIn. You do not create a password because there is no password to be leaked, reused across sites, or guessed. Your identity provider handles the authentication and Involve receives the result.

The trade is that you need one of those three accounts. For most people applying to European roles that is not a barrier.

Will it apply to jobs without asking me?

No. Two separate mechanisms stop that.

First, every job on the board is labelled with its apply method before you click: auto, extension, manual, or blocked. You know which of those four you are dealing with while you are still deciding whether to bother.

Second, tailored documents need an explicit approve. There is no path where a document you have not read reaches an employer.

What happens on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn automation is blocked unconditionally, at four layers. Not throttled, not available with a warning attached, just blocked.

The reason is that automating LinkedIn puts your own account at risk, and your professional network is worth considerably more than any single application. So Involve will not do it, and it will not do it in a way that a determined user can talk it into.

The related case is Workday. Workday applications require employer-issued credentials, so Involve cannot complete them. Those jobs are flagged and handed back to you to apply yourself. Again, that is a deliberate boundary rather than a missing feature. The apply methods post goes through both in detail.

Does it work outside Europe?

Two different answers, because these are two different things.

The job board is European. That is the scope, refreshed daily, with dead links retired.

Resume country formatting is wider. You pick a destination country and the document takes that country's conventions: page size, expected length, whether a photo or date of birth or nationality belongs, section headings in the local language, local date format. Supported markets today:

• UK and Ireland
• Germany, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Spain
• The Nordics
• USA and Canada
• India
• UAE and the Gulf
• Singapore

So you can build a properly formatted American or Singaporean resume in Involve, you just will not find the job listing for it on the board. The differences between these documents are real and larger than most people expect; CV versus resume in Europe is the starting point.

Localisation and translation are separate choices, too. Localise puts your section headings and dates in the local language and leaves your sentences untouched. Translate fully rewrites every sentence and keeps your original beside it. Germany is the market where this matters most, and the Lebenslauf format has its own conventions worth reading before you apply there.

What is the campus licence?

It is a licence for business schools and universities rather than individuals, so a careers service can put Involve in front of its students.

It pairs with the Programmes track, which sits alongside Jobs and is built for MBA, MiM and MSc applications rather than roles. That track does per-school targeting and a Country Fit comparison, weighing immigration, career, financial, academic, lifestyle and entrepreneurship factors so you can compare destinations rather than just schools. If you are working on that kind of application, the MiM resume format is the companion piece.

For licence terms you will need to talk to Involve directly. It is not something you buy from the pricing page.

A few smaller things that come up in the same conversation:

• The cover letter builder generates on request only, never automatically, and is Pro Max.
• The Chrome extension is Manifest V3 and click-to-fill, not always-on.

If a question here has not been answered, the safest assumption is that Involve does not do the thing. The product is deliberately narrow, and the fastest way to test it is the free board with one role you genuinely want.
